A 75-year-old woman complained of pain in her right wrist. Physical examination revealed tough oedema without redness dorsally, especially above the radial aspect of the wrist. The local skin temperature was increased, the wrist motility was reduced by +/- 20° at most in flexion and extension. Peripheral blood supply was unremarkable. The patient denies any injury as a cause of the pain. She had never had similar symptoms before.
