An 82-year-old patient underwent hemicolectomy for perforated older ileocaecal anastomosis 14 days ago. The prolonged postoperative period was complicated by aspiration pneumonia with the necessity of mechanical ventilation.
Suddenly, acute onset of abdominal pain, tachycardia, a decrease of haemoglobin and increase of lactate occurs and gastrointestinal bleeding is suspected.
